A NOTE ON THE POEMS (AND WHERE TO BUY THE BOOK)

Welcome, Reader!

This is a small collection of poems. All the poems here were composed using A.I. Although the A.I. played a certain role in the composition of the poems, the end results are more or less the effort of me as the poet. The major effort in this project really turned out to be one of massaging the output of the A.I. until the poems sounded real and authentic and true.

An attempt was made to write poems in different styles. For instance, one poem Picking Autumn Plums was explicitly in the "sringaara rasa", which is the style of love poetry in Indian poetics. The poem Birds Singing In The Dark Night reminds you of Octavio Paz. Thus, an attempt has also been made to see how well the A.I. is able to replicate the mood and the style and the feel of certain sorts of poetry and even certain poets. (All the poems appeared in the poetry book "A book of poetry written in seven hours for India & America".) The book also presents a new theory in the social sciences that I call the Theory of Reproducibility. It attempts to explain the relative lack of popularity of the Asian artistic traditions (and this is not just limited to poetry) in terms of the underlying economics, but you don't need to know about that to enjoy the poetry.

The poetry book is now available on Amazon.com. The Amazon listing for the book is here: https://amzn.to/37nduj0
